Terms of service

What RollShip is

RollShip is a booking service for international vehicle shipping. We collect your requirements, obtain quotes from vetted UK shipping specialists who serve your route, and if you book, we arrange the shipment with the specialist on your behalf, collect your payment, and remain your point of contact until delivery. The physical carriage, customs work and port handling are performed by the specialist, not by RollShip.

What that means for your booking

What you pay

Quotes are free and no obligation. If you book, you pay the quoted total, which includes our service fee of £199 (currently £99 as a launch offer) shown as its own line, and the shipping charges for your route. If any line needs to change before booking (for example a carrier surcharge), we tell you what changed and why before you commit. Payment is by card or UK bank transfer, on confirmation of your quote, using only the details on your booking confirmation.

What we promise, and what we can't

We work to share quotes within 24 hours of your enquiry, and if a route needs longer, we'll tell you why and when. We vet every partner before they receive enquiries and re-check them regularly.

What we can't do is guarantee the performance of a shipping service we don't operate. Sailing schedules, transit times and destination customs are indicative and can change with carrier schedules, weather and port conditions. Information on this site about destination rules, taxes and timings is provided in good faith and kept current with care, but it is general guidance, not legal or financial advice. Always confirm the specifics for your shipment with your chosen specialist before committing.

Cancellations & refunds

Quotes are valid for 14 days. Once you book, this is how cancellation works. It follows standard practice in UK vehicle shipping, with the consumer cooling-off rules on top.

Refunds go back the way you paid, within 14 days of confirming the cancellation.

Your responsibilities

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RollShip's liability is limited to the matters within our control: this website, the accuracy of your quote and booking, and the handling of your payment. The physical carriage, storage and customs handling of your vehicle are performed by the specialist under their trading conditions, and their liability regime (including marine insurance you choose to take) applies to those services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

General

We may update these terms; the date above will change when we do. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
